About PDF Sign
PDF Sign is a free online tool that lets you add your handwritten or typed signature to any PDF document — draw it on screen, type your name in a styled font, or upload an image of your physical signature. Place, resize, and reposition signatures on any page, and optionally add a date stamp alongside. Everything runs in your browser — files never leave your device. No signup required, no watermarks.
How to Use
Upload a PDF (up to 50 MB), then create your signature using the Draw tab to sign with your mouse or touchscreen, the Type tab to enter your name in a signature font, or the Upload tab to use a photo of your existing signature. Choose a color and pen size. Click Use This Signature, then click anywhere on a page to place it. Drag to reposition, resize from the corner, navigate between pages, and click Save Signed PDF to download.
Common Use Cases
- Remote workers signing employment contracts, NDAs, and onboarding paperwork sent as PDFs can sign the document electronically and return it without printing, scanning, or using paid e-signature services.
- Freelancers signing client contracts and service agreements can upload the PDF, draw their signature, and return the signed document by email in seconds — fully browser-based with no monthly subscription required.
- Property managers and tenants executing lease agreements can each sign their copy of the PDF and exchange signed versions without in-person meetings, streamlining rental document workflows.
- Students submitting signed permission forms, internship agreements, or enrollment documents digitally can sign the PDF and upload it to their institution's portal without printing a single page.
- Small business owners approving vendor invoices, purchase orders, or supplier agreements can sign and return the PDF same-day, eliminating delays caused by physical signature and mail workflows.
