About PDF Text Diff
The PDF Text Diff tool extracts the text layer from two PDF documents using PDF.js and performs a detailed word-level or line-level diff comparison, highlighting every addition, deletion, and modification between the versions. Tracking changes between PDF revisions is a common requirement in contract management, regulatory submissions, technical documentation, and academic publishing — where PDFs are exchanged without embedded change tracking. The tool offers side-by-side and unified diff views with navigation controls, exporting results as HTML reports or plain text diffs, all within your browser.

How to Use
Upload the original PDF into the left panel and the modified version into the right panel. Select word-level or line-level comparison mode, toggle whitespace and case normalization options, then click Compare. Navigate changes using the prev/next controls and review additions (green), deletions (red), and unchanged text. Export the comparison as an HTML diff report or plain text file for documentation.
