Spider Solitaire
Build 8 complete sequences from King to Ace in this challenging card game
About Spider Solitaire
Spider Solitaire is one of the most popular card games ever made, famously bundled with Windows since 1998 and played by hundreds of millions worldwide. The goal is to build eight complete King-to-Ace sequences of the same suit and remove them from the tableau. Play spider solitaire online free with 1-suit (easy), 2-suit (medium), or the brutally challenging 4-suit variant.
How to Play
Click a card or valid sequence to select it, then click the destination column to move it. You can only move a group of cards that are in consecutive descending order within the same suit. When a complete King-to-Ace sequence in one suit forms, it is automatically removed from the board. When no useful moves remain, click Deal to distribute 10 new cards across all columns — dealing with an empty column is not allowed.
Tips & Strategies
- Empty columns are your most powerful resource — they act as free temporary storage for any card or sequence. Protect at least one empty column whenever possible.
- Prioritize building sequences within a single suit over mixed-color descending stacks; mixed stacks look useful but cannot be moved as a group, trapping your cards.
- Flip face-down cards as your number one objective — every hidden card you uncover adds potential moves and may reveal exactly what you need to complete a sequence.
- Delay dealing from the stock as long as possible; each deal adds 10 cards on top of your current columns and can bury important cards you need.
- Plan two to three moves ahead before each action — Spider is not a game of quick reflexes but of deliberate sequencing, and a single careless move can lock the board.
