Duck Hunt
Shoot the ducks before they fly away
About Duck Hunt
Duck Hunt is a classic arcade shooter inspired by the legendary 1984 Nintendo NES game that sold over 28 million copies. Play duck hunt online free in your browser — move your mouse to aim the crosshair and shoot ducks before they escape the screen. With Single Duck, Double Duck, and Clay Pigeon modes, plus escalating speed and distance across rounds, it captures that authentic light-gun feel.
How to Play
Move your mouse to aim the crosshair anywhere on the screen and click to fire. Each round gives you a limited number of shots — hit enough ducks to clear the round and advance, or the laughing dog appears. In Double mode two ducks fly simultaneously. Clay Pigeon mode launches targets from ground level at sharper angles. Combo hits earn escalating bonus points.
Tips & Strategies
- Lead your shot: click slightly ahead of where the duck is flying rather than directly on it — by the time the shot registers, the duck will have moved into your aim point.
- Ducks near the screen edges are about to escape, so prioritize them over ducks still in the center of the screen.
- In Double mode, track both ducks with your eyes as soon as they appear, shoot the one closer to escaping first, then pivot immediately to the second.
- Ducks slow briefly at the top of their arc before reversing direction — that one-second hang time is your most reliable shot window.
- Clay Pigeon mode rewards aiming slightly above the target: clay discs travel in a rising arc and most players consistently shoot below them.
