About PDF Compress
PDF Compress reduces PDF file sizes by optimizing internal structure and optionally removing metadata (title, author, keywords). It uses object streams and structural re-serialization to achieve smaller files — all processing happens in your browser with no upload required.
How to Use
Drag and drop one or more PDF files (up to 20 files, 50 MB each). Choose a compression level — Low (preserves metadata), Medium (balanced), or High (maximum). Toggle advanced options to customize metadata removal and object streams. Click Compress, then download the optimized files.
Common Use Cases
- Reducing PDF size for email attachments under size limits
- Optimizing scanned documents and reports for faster sharing
- Preparing PDFs for web upload with smaller file footprints
- Batch compressing multiple PDFs at once for archival purposes
- Stripping metadata from documents before distributing externally
